Without writing my biography here, a medical timeline is probably most appropriate for telling about my life to this present moment. Other biographical facts will appear in blog posts as points of reference in relaying history, stories, lessons and thoughts in general.
At first glance, the timeline of my story does not appear to be heading in the happily-ever-after direction. It is decorated with what looks like a life of inconvenience, trial and frustration. At best, it looks to be a life no one would sign up to live. However, each gap in time represents times of growth and preparation for the next mark on the timeline. Medical issues have been a large part of my life. But really it's the times in between the markers that have enriched me. The people I've met along the way, the opportunities, the experiences and even other challenges, along with my faith, are what fuels me toward the next mark. I believe that the health encounters of my life are merely circumstances in which I live. They affect my life, but they do not define who I am. They are only some of the tools that are shaping me into the person I am. For those who know me, I hope you find yourself somewhere as part of these experiences, relating to them, or having been an influence in the things I've learned through them. For those who don't know me, maybe I will have the opportunity to get to know you as you read and share.
