The Name Explained

Plumbline Central- You may wonder what the name is all about (or you may not). So lets get that out of the way and hopefully you'll see where I'm coming from! The term Central in the name is fairly simple. It implies a hub or location to gather info. In the case of this blog, the information will probably be very diverse but is centered around medical experiences, the journey through it all, and the need for a plumb line.

A plumb line, is a cord with a lead weight used in the building of structures to make sure they are vertical. It is a standard for building the rest of the structure. Although life is about growing our physical structure, it's also about growing or constructing our whole being. There is no question that I have the need for a plumb line. I need something to steady me as I navigate my way through life, something to help me gain and keep perspective, and something to offer stability.God is my plumb line. He is everything I need whether times are good, or not so good, whether things seem clear or the fog has rolled in and uncertainty is at its height. He sets the standard for me. He makes my path straight and helps me determine when I have veered away from my purpose. My faith as a Christ follower is really all of what defines me. And my need for a plumb line is what my life is all about.
